Depression, suicide, vulnerability and offering a safe space where people can open up about their troubles
In this article, Jason Reid draws on both heartbreaking personal loss and years of research to offer parents a clearer picture of what their children may be silently experiencing.
After losing his 14-year-old son Ryan to suicide in 2018, Reid embarked on a mission to bridge the gap between what parents assume and what teens actually feel.
Through conversations with teenagers, mental health professionals, and families, this article explores the warning signs parents often miss, the hidden emotional toll of social media, and why open, judgment-free conversation may be the most powerful tool we have to protect our children.
